Our mission

The Austrian Blockchain Center (ABC) and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ) awarded the Austrian Blockchain Award for outstanding Austrian Blockchain projects for the third time in 2022.
Prizes were awarded in 3 categories: Research, Business, Non-Profit & Other, and a special prize for the best technical implementation.
Nominated and 2nd place as well as the winner of the special prize Smart Technology: B.A.M NFT Ticketing (B.A.M Ticketing GmbH)

B.A.M Ticketing was founded in July 2019 by Georg Müller and Mirko Ilic. Both founders have great knowledge in FinTec, blockchain technology and NFTs. Since the technology used to ensure unforgeability and transparency of the secondary market is still very young, the technical feasibility of a blockchain-based ticketing system was set as the primary goal. A corresponding project to create a PoC and a prototype was initiated and successfully implemented.

Among almost 200 applications B.A.M Ticketing was included with 9 other startups in the INiTS incubation batch #12. INiTS is a University Business Incubator (UBI) and has been repeatedly recognized by UBI Global as one of the world’s best university incubators since 2013 and is number one in the German-speaking world.

Granted public funding from Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH (AWS) the promotional bank of the Austrian federal government. AWS Creative Impact promotes innovative new products and services that have the potential to create a positive social and industry-specific impact beyond company boundaries.

Finalist for the Austrian Blockchain Award 2020 in the category “industry solutions”. The Austrian Blockchain Center (ABC) and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ) jointly created the Austrian Blockchain Award in 2020. The prize is awarded to Austrian Blockchain projects that stand out due to their sustainable business model, proven practical suitability, and disruptive application possibilities.

Block.IS is an acceleration program that aims to build an open and collaborative cross-border, cross-sectoral innovation ecosystem that fosters the use of blockchain technology. B.A.M Ticketing has indirectly received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under project Block.IS (grant agreement No 824509).

A further milestone is our partnership with the strategic investment company Quara Holding since December 2021. Together with Quara, we reach not only a country of 30 million inhabitants but potentially another 400 million end customers through the elaborate localization into Arabic.
